1. Product
k-lani-code-translator is a local reading aid that displays source code as a readable counterpart in another supported language. Its output is not guaranteed to compile, preserve complete semantics or behave identically at runtime.
2. Scope of this offer
These commercial licenses are offered only to businesses and to persons acting for purposes related to their trade, business or profession. A purchase is not required for permitted noncommercial use under the software's PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0.
3. Seats and permitted use
Each purchased seat permits one developer designated by the purchasing business to use the software commercially during the applicable license term. The quantity selected at checkout is the number of developers who may be assigned a seat. A business purchasing five seats may therefore assign the software to five developers.
Seats may be reassigned to another developer within the same purchasing legal entity. A seat may not be shared between multiple developers merely because they do not use the software at the same time. No technical activation or automated seat count is used; the customer is responsible for purchasing and maintaining a sufficient number of seats.
The commercial license is limited to the purchasing legal entity. It does not permit redistribution, resale, sublicensing or making the software available to unrelated third parties.
4. Available alpha licenses
- The monthly license costs 0.99 EUR per seat and month and remains valid while the corresponding subscription is active. This founding price is available to new customers through 31 October 2026.
- The fixed alpha license costs 9.99 EUR per seat, remains valid through 31 July 2027 and does not renew automatically.
- Updates published during the active license term are included.
5. Checkout, taxes and contract
Checkout is provided by Stripe and Link. The amount, currency conversion, applicable tax and total payable are shown before the order is submitted. Link acts as merchant of record for the transaction and provides transaction-level support under the terms displayed in checkout.
The commercial-use license is granted after successful payment for the selected product and quantity. The Stripe or Link confirmation documents the purchase. Product support remains the responsibility of Marvin Kalani.
6. No technical activation
The purchase grants legal permission for commercial use. It does not unlock a separate build and no copy protection or online activation is currently used.
7. Reading-aid boundary
The software is intended to help readers understand visible source code through familiar syntax and plain-language explanations. It does not promise a complete source-code port. Generated output is not guaranteed to compile, preserve complete semantics, be secure or behave identically at runtime. It must be reviewed and tested before use in production or other safety-relevant contexts.
8. Availability, support and liability
The alpha software is supplied as available. No uninterrupted availability, response time, compatibility with every source construct or fitness for a particular purpose is promised. To the extent permitted by law, liability for ordinary negligence is limited to the breach of essential contractual obligations and foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, and other mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected.
9. Ending a license
The monthly subscription can be cancelled through the order-management options provided by Link and remains licensed through the paid billing period. The fixed alpha license ends automatically on 31 July 2027. Ending a license does not remove the locally installed software, but commercial use after the license term is no longer permitted unless another applicable license exists.
10. Operator, privacy and applicable law
Operator details are available in the Impressum. Information about personal data is available in the product-specific privacy notice.
German law applies, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory rules that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
